We’re surprised no one from Lionsgate has put out a press release on this yet, but The Hunger Games is now officially the top selling DVD of 2012. According to The-Numbers.com, The Hunger Games has now sold 5,377,765 DVD units, which makes for $93,211,176 in sales revenue.

At 5,377,765 DVD unit sold, The Hunger Games passed by The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1, which sits in the #2 spot with 5,223,078 DVD units sold. The Hunger Games DVD was released on August 18, 2012, while The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 DVD was released on February 11, 2012.
