Acting-Auditions.org has announced that ‘Catching Fire’ casting director is looking for:
- Johanna Mason, female, sarcastic and often cruel victor from District 7.
- Beetee and Wiress, an older couple, dark hair, pale skin from District 3, very smart.
- Finnick Odair, male, mid-20′s, very handsome, tall, tan skin, bronze hair, green eyes.
- Blight, male, mid-20′s, mentor and tribute District 7. Won a previous Hunger Games.
- Romulus Thread, male, mid 30′s – 40′s, new Head Peacekeeper of District 12.
- Twill, female, mid-30′s, teacher, escapes to District 12 where she meet Katniss.
- Bonnie, female, 17, crooked teeth, chocolate brown eyes, escapes to District 12 with Twill.
- Wiress, female, 40ish, tribute from District 3, dark hair, pale skin.
- Bristel, female, 17-19, miner in District 12.
- Leevy, female, 17ish, dark hair, gray eyes, Katniss’ neighbor from District 12.
- Cashmere, female, late 20′s, classic beauty, long blond curls, arrogant District 1 tribute.
- Gloss, male, mid-20′s, Cashmere’s brother. Mentor, victor, career tribute.

I just read on imbd that they had to cut mags which is stupid because they need two tributes from each district!!!!!!!
The official breakdown, SO FAR, includes: Finnick Odair, Johanna Mason, Twill, Bonnie, Darius, Gloss, Cashmere, Brutus, and Mags. 2 weeks ago they released the breakdown with everyone except Mags and this past Tuesday they released the breakdown for Mags. They would not release any info to agents and managers if the decisions were not finalized.
Mags will be in it for sure. I have the official breakdown for her. It was released on Tuesday.

I don’t know where they are…. Annie is in a little, she is called to go back into the arena but Mags takes her place. Then Finnick hears her screaming but it really is just the Jabberjays. So she has like one main part and her name is brought up a lot. But in the third one she will have more than that one big part.

I am literally so sick of the glee fandom and asociated saying Grant Gustin should be Finnick Odair, they have NOTHING in common. I think Grant Gustin is handsome, yeah, but he does not have the physical appearance that is described in the book. In my opinion Jesse Metcalfe is PERFECT for Finnick Odair and he should -at least- be considered for the role.
Totally agree! I don’t think he’d be good for the role, he’s a great actor just… not for this. This is crucial, it’s full of emotion. It’s… it’s my life. I would think Garrett Hedlund (just dye his hair a perfect bronze color, and tan him up a bit, along with a good work-out to bulk him up and he’s perfect!) or Joe Walker, or Ian Somerhalder. Just saying though! 🙂

Yesh, I kind of miss Mags, Enobaria and Brutus here. I think they are more important characters than Cashmere and Gloss.
Also, I am against the popular opinion… I don’t picture Grant Gustin as Finnick. He does not fit in the description AT ALL. And personally, I don’t like Garrett Hedlund either, but he is much more similar to Finnick than that Gustin boy. My personal option is Finn Jones. I know he is not that popular and famous, but seriously… three days at the beach and here we go.

Calm down people, Annie isn’t really a seen part of Catching fire and is only mentioned. Mags can’t be left out as she is the female tribute from district 4 the story wouldn’t work without her, considering the role and reputation of Mags they’re probably already awarded the role to a quite well known elderly actress, like Betty White or someone of the same status.

You know you have to submit to the addresses that Alan Baltes gives in the link above, right? You can’t tell him about yourself because he won’t see this post, he’s not the one deciding who to cast, and also it just doesn’t work like that.

I can’t remember, but is her age listed in the book? But I’m guessing if you just look the age of her, then you could apply!
what do you mean apply? Do you even know who to call? Those roles are too big for you not to have a manager, agent, or at least someone who knows the casting director and is persuasive enough to get you in to read. An for the smaller roles, like for Mags, it says “SUBMIT ELECTRONICALLY ONLY”. And THAT means that if you aren’t and agent or manager, then you don’t have a password to even get you through that process. Do yourself a few favors: move to Los Angeles, get to know people because they all know each other, keep a positive attitude, work hard, and try for Mockingjay. The next breakdown probably comes out again on Monday, but by the time all this happens, they will already be casted. Oh yeah and Garrett is the man.

I have access to any and all breakdowns for film and tv. When you get to know people, and I know quite a few, and you be yourself and stay positive, anything is possible. So you have no experience whatsoever?

I hope you can see what a huge difference there is between stage and tv/film. They are nothing alike. Believe that. Do you have headshots?

that’s not what I meant at all. Stage actors are too big, too loud, too animated. TV and film require tremendous skill also, but they’re way more real. What is your email? If you’re in Los Angeles you stand a slight chance of maybe getting into the office. Without any experience with at least a cold read you’re pretty screwed though, if in fact you do make it in. I will not release this info in the open and neither can you. I throw people a bone every now and then. from the looks of things you have no idea what this entails, besides the fact that the casting director for this is NO joke. But it’s worth a try I guess

At the end of the day, mostly for big production movies in the 20 million to 200 million range, the production companies and their affiliates want their money back at the very least. The casting associate is who you would call with ONLY ONE QUESTION! “Do you accept Drop-offs?” THAT’S IT, AND THAT’S ALL. They are very busy and don’t have time for conversation. If you do try to talk to them they will know that you are totally unprofessional, a total amateur, and no one that they would want to work with.
